The GoPro HD Helmet HERO Camera is a small digital device that comes with a kit of items making it rather easy to fit on your helmet, whatever shape it may have. This is rather important, because otherwise, the camera is what you would expect from a digital camera. Apart from the robust anti-shock case, it is a pretty simple HD recorder, but it really does the job perfectly.

The straps and other items that come in the kit are very well made and very easy to fit. They can be used for any kind of helmet or protective head gear and you can even use the camera without a helmet, directly on your head.

Now, the quality of the video is not the best HD footage we have seen, but considering the price (less than 300 dollars) and the fact that you can really take it anywhere with you, we have to say that you don’t need anything more than what it provides. The frame rate is at least 30 frames per second (which is what you want) and even the recording angle can be adjusted.

The camera is really light and it won’t bother you during the race. It is well protected and can resist anything you throw at it, literally. And, if you want to use the camera in normal situations, like filming a birthday party or a conference, you can easily take it out of the casing and do so without any problems. So, this really is a good piece of video recording equipment.
